Introducing Click 4 Obama!
Welcome to the grand political experiment that is Click 4 Obama! Click 4 Obama just went live a little over a day ago after weeks of brainstorming, coding, and desiging. In the short time since our launch we’ve already served over 2,000 questions totaling more than 7 hours of gameplay. If you haven’t played the Click 4 Obama quiz game, by all means, stop reading and play now.
Okay, hopefully you’ve got the feel for the idea. There is a frequently asked questions page that goes into a bit of detail but I’m going to try to give you the concise summary. Here goes:
- You Play & Learn
- Ads on the game site produce $
- $ buys ads for Obama
Sounds pretty simple right? The 3 steps do abstract a bit from the actual mechanics. The amount of Obama ads bought depends on how many questions you get right. That is your incentive to learn and my incentive to challenge you. If I bought an ad for every question you answered then I would probably go bankrupt pretty quickly. One of the big unknowns in this experiment is what the sustainable rate of advertising is. I’m running Click 4 Obama as a non-profit with all the revenue going towards ads. I’m starting with what I think is a reasonable rate but I will hopefully be able to increase the rate to buy more ads as I figure out the economics behind it all.
Since Click 4 Obama just launched, I’d love to hear feedback on anything and everything.
- Is the game too hard?
- Are the questions boring? Submit your own!
- Are our ads uninspiring? We would love help creating new ones.
- Where should we buy ads to be most effective?
